Our Founders
The Silk Road was founded in Paris by Yamini Banker and Soumil Sharma, with a shared vision to reshape the future of fashion. When Yamini moved from a small town in India to Paris, she experienced firsthand the cultural gap in global fashion. Together, they imagined a platform that could bridge East and West, spotlighting underrepresented designers and preserving traditional craftsmanship through a modern lens.
What began as a conversation between two people from different worlds has grown into a global fashion destination built on intention, creativity, and connection.
